Consumer Categories and Voltage Levels
Low Tension (LT):
LT Domestic:
- Voltage: 240V/415V
- Capacity: Up to 75 kW
- Tariff: ₹1.95/unit (up to 50 units), ₹3.10/unit (51–100 units), and incremental increases for higher usage.
LT Commercial:
- Voltage: 415V
- Capacity: Up to 75 kW
- Tariff: ₹7.00/unit (up to 50 units) to ₹11.00/unit (above 500 units).
High Tension (HT):
HT General Industry:
- Voltage: 11 kV, 33 kV, 132 kV
- Capacity: Above 75 kW
- Tariff: ₹7.65/unit (11 kV), ₹7.15/unit (33 kV), ₹6.65/unit (132 kV and above).
HT Seasonal Industries:
- Tariff: ₹8.60/unit (11 kV) to ₹7.70/unit (132 kV).
Metering Options
Net Metering:
- Energy exported to the grid offsets the imported energy, reducing electricity bills.
- Best suited for residential and small-scale commercial users.
Gross Metering:
- Entire solar generation is exported to the grid and compensated at feed-in tariffs.
- Ideal for industrial and large-scale solar producers.

Domestic (LT-I):
- Up to 50 units: ₹1.95/unit
- 51–100 units: ₹3.10/unit
- 201–300 units: ₹7.70/unit
- Above 800 units: ₹10.00/unit
Commercial (LT-II):
- Up to 50 units: ₹7.00/unit
- 301–500 units: ₹10.40/unit
- Above 500 units: ₹11.00/unit
Industrial (LT-III):
- General Industry: ₹7.70/unit
- Seasonal Industry (off-season): ₹8.40/unit
High Tension (HT-I):
- General Industry: ₹7.65/unit (11 kV), ₹7.15/unit (33 kV), ₹6.65/unit (132 kV)
- Seasonal Industry (Seasonal Industry: ₹8.60/unit (11 kV) to ₹7.70/unit (132 kV)off-season): ₹8.40/unit
Time of Day (ToD) Tariff
- Peak Hours (6 AM–10 AM, 6 PM–10 PM): ₹1.00/unit additional.
- Off-Peak Hours (10 PM–6 AM): ₹1.50/unit discount.
