Consumer Categories and Voltage Levels
Low Tension (LT):
- Single Phase (240V): Suitable for small domestic and commercial users with a connected load of up to 5 kW.
- Three Phase (415V): Ideal for larger residential or commercial users with a load between 5 kW and 75 kW.
High Tension (HT):
- 11 kV and Above: Designed for industrial and large commercial consumers with a load exceeding 75 kW.
- Extra High Tension (EHT) 132 kV: For very high energy demands, typically large industries.
Metering Options
Net Metering:
- Consumers can offset their electricity usage with the solar energy generated.
- Surplus energy exported to the grid is credited at retail tariffs.
Gross Metering:
- Entire solar generation is exported to the grid and compensated at feed-in tariffs.
- Ideal for large-scale energy producers.
Tariff Structures
LT Domestic Consumers::
- First 50 units: ₹3.25/unit
- 51-100 units: ₹4.10/unit
- Above 100 units: ₹5.95/unit
LT Commercial Consumers:
- ₹6.20/unit for the first 150 units
- Above 150 units: ₹7.10/unit
HT Consumers:
- ₹6.50/unit for loads up to 500 kW
- For EHT (132 kV): ₹5.85/unit with demand charges
