Categories and Voltage Levels
Low Tension (LT):
- Single Phase (240V): Suitable for small-scale domestic and commercial consumers with a connected load of up to 5 kW.
- Three Phase (415V): For larger consumers with a connected load between 5 kW and 50 kW.
High Tension (HT):
- 11 kV and Above: For industrial and commercial users with a load exceeding 50 kW.
- EHT (132 kV and Above): For heavy industries and utilities requiring higher power capacities.
Metering Options
Net Metering:
- Allows consumers to offset their electricity consumption with the solar energy they generate.
- Excess energy exported to the grid is credited at retail tariffs.
- Ideal for domestic and small commercial setups.
Gross Metering:
- All energy generated by the solar system is exported to the grid at a feed-in tariff.

- Fixed charges between ₹90–₹200/month depending on the load.
- Energy charges start at ₹5.50/unit and increase with consumption.
HT Category:
Industrial Consumers:
- Energy charges: ₹5.80/unit for connected loads of 10–20 kW.
- Above 20 kW: ₹6.00/unit with incremental increases.
Large-Scale Commercial and Industrial Consumers:
- Tariff: ₹7.30/unit for HT connections and ₹8.03/unit for EHT.
Special Provisions
Subsidies for Domestic Consumers:
- Below Poverty Line (BPL) consumers with a connected load up to 1000W: ₹1.50/unit for up to 40 units/month.
- Additional benefits for cancer patients, disabled persons, and endosulfan victims.
Time of Day (ToD) Tariff:
